PAC-12
#4 USC v. #11 Utah The matchup between the Trojans and the Utes might be the weekend's most exciting game. Earlier this season, the Utes handed the Trojans their only loss in an absolute shootout. If I am judging this game solely based on each team's resume, I will go with Utah all day long. But I'm not making a prediction based on each team's resume. As an Oklahoma fan, I hate to admit that I think USC will win this game. To beat a Top-10 team once is a feat in and of itself is hard, but to do it twice in one season is even more difficult. I hope I am wrong and have some faith that Utah can pull this off, but USC is hitting its stride at the right time. ACC #23 UNC v. #9 Clemson I wish I could sit here and confidently say I think Carolina will win this game, but the horror of Carolina's defense sucks every ounce of confidence out of me. D.J. Uiagalelei and his receivers will go up against some of the worst defensive backs in the conference. Between this mismatch and Drake Maye being the athlete he is, I predict a high-scoring game played mostly through the air. I expect Clemson to win this game, but it will not be at fault of the UNC offense unless Coach Brown decides to make stupid play calls, which he is prone to do occasionally. Big-12 #3 TCU v. #10 Kansas State There is a reason TCU is ranked #3 at this point in the season, but this will be a very close game as long as Kansas State is playing their A game. Kansas State has played phenomenally this season. Unfortunately, they've had a few hiccups, including one against TCU earlier this season. In my PAC-12 prediction, I mentioned it was very difficult to beat a Top-10 team twice in one season. Though Kansas State wasn't a Top-10 team when the two squared off this season, they're still a good team that will be difficult to beat twice in one season. My gut says to go with TCU for this game, but I've got a feeling the refs will work against TCU to get Ohio State or Alabama in the College Football Playoffs. SEC #1 Georgia v. #14 LSU Georgia is winning this game... It's not worth saying much more. I wish I could sit here and say they have a chance, but they don't. Crazier things have happened, but I would put my next paycheck on Georgia for this game. AAC #18 Tulane v. #22 UCF The former "National Champions" lost to ECU, Navy, and a Lamar Jacksonless Louisville this season. But Tulane's last loss was to UCF, and they allowed UMass to score 10 points in the first game of the season. This game is pretty evenly matched, and my prediction is soley based on my hatred of UCF. Tulane is going to walk away from this game a victor by 7. Big Ten #2 Michigan v. Purdue This weekend, Purdue comes into the Big Ten Championship Game as the only unranked team. Michigan is a 17-point favorite for this matchup, and after giving Ohio State the boot for this game, I have few reasons to believe Michigan won't produce a win this weekend. Last season, Purdue took down two Top-10 teams in the Big Ten, but this is not the same Purdue team as last year. Unless some miracle happens, I do not see Purdue replicating that same success this Saturday.
