This article was requested by one of my viewers, who is still deciding who they should pull for in the Super Bowl tonight. If you're like 95% of Americans, you don't have a dog in the fight, but you're still going to watch the game because it is the Super Bowl, and who doesn't watch the Super Bowl? That'd just be un-American. There are several storylines heading into tonight's game. The one I personally have been following is the Kelce Brothers. This is the first time in NFL history that two brothers will be facing off against one another in the big game. On one side, you have Jason Kelce, the Center for the Philadelphia Eagles; on the other, you have Travis Kelce, the Tight End for the Kansas City Chiefs. Petitions have been going around with fans calling for Mama Kelce to do the coin toss. We will see tonight if word got up to the NFL offices.
If you're looking for a feel-good story, look no further than Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Jalen played at the University of Alabama. As a sophomore, in the 2018 College Football National Championship, he was pulled out of the game and replaced by the now-Miami Dolphins Quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa. His junior year, he did not see the field that often until the 2019 National Championship, when Jalen replaced Tua. Alabama would, unfortunately, lose that game to Clemson. To finish off his college career, Jalen would transfer to the University of Oklahoma, where he would lead the Sooners to the College Football Playoffs, but was outperformed by arguably one of the best College Football teams in the history of the game, Joe Burrow's LSU Tigers. Winning this Super Bowl would be the first time Jalen Hurts would lead a team to win a championship. On the field tonight, there aren't really any "bad guys" you can root against. But off the field, there are two individuals that need to be served a big fat order of humble pie: Patrick Mahomes' wife and brother. Have you ever been to an 8-year-old rec-league game where these two parents would hoot, holler, and trash talk the other 8-year-olds participating in the game? That's what Jackson and Brittany Mahomes are like. They are obnoxiously obnoxious, have absolutely zero situational awareness, and are downright disrespectful. I began disliking Jackson Mahomes after the Kansas City Chiefs visited the (at the time) Washington Football Team on the day they were honoring the life of the late Sean Taylor. Jackson thought it would be a fantastic idea to do one of his fruity TikTok dances where the WFT had painted Taylor's number on the field with two skull head emojis in the video. Again, zero situational awareness, obnoxious, and disrespectful. You can watch that video here. Brittany Mahomes, for the longest time, wasn't all that controversial. She was loud and cheered hard for her man, but that annoyed a lot of fans. IMO, you keep cheering girl. It has become an issue because she trash-talks other players in the league and isn't afraid to trash-talk fans on social media either. Like girl, you won life. Your husband has a half-a-billion-dollar contract and you run a successful business yourself. Just keep cheering for your man and stop looking down on us "lowly fans." So yeah, I'll be going for the Eagles because I cannot stand people that are so spoiled that the rot coming off of them stinks up the entire stadium. It pains me to go for the Eagles, you can read about that in this blog here, but they're the lesser of the two evils.

Oooooo…. Good to know. I’ll mostly be rooting for Mama Kelce’s heart because….. well… Moms know why…. that’s tough. But the Jets get my vote both for Hurts and against those big ole meanies that crossed “the line” when they disrespected a deceased man. There’s just some things you don’t do. Thanks for the backstories and the journeys Daws! You know they’re always my favorite thing about this game. 💙
