At the end of this season, Kevin Harvick will retire from Stewart-Haas, and along with Harvick, Anheuser-Busch will depart from their relationship with the team and focus their efforts with Trackhouse. This leaves the board wide open for a new brand to come in and become the flagship sponsor for the 2x Championship team. Below are my three recommendations! AutoDesk For those that don't know, Autodesk is a global leader in software for architects, builders, engineers, designers, manufacturers, 3D artists, and production teams, according to the AutoDesk website. The reason I believe AutoDesk would be a good flagship sponsor for Stewart-Haas is because the brand is relevant to the industry. We have seen the effectiveness of the NASCAR and Goodyear relationship over the last 2000+ races. The high level of effectiveness in the relationship is due to the relevancy the brand has to NASCAR. Like how cars need tires, NASCAR engineers need good software systems to design, build, and create to advance the sport. Without software systems like AutoDesk, NASCAR would look very different than it looks today. AutoDesk is already a sponsor for Stewart-Haas, they just aren't the flagship sponsor. The brand is relevant, there is a lot of potential for brand awareness, and it is a fantastic opportunity for AutoDesk to showcase that their investment in a team puts drivers in victory lane. Buc-ee's Buc-ee's is already a brand that has taken the South by storm recently. Off the top of my head, I know they have built two new locations in Tennessee, one in South Carolina, and they are building another in North Carolina. This is a brand that people already love, and as the brand continues to expand its reach, it would be a great sponsor to slap on a NASCAR car. Think about it. People drive from all over to attend NASCAR races. Odds are, with as many Buc-ee's locations across the Southeast, several fans will drive past a Buc-ees and be more inclined to visit. Granted, Buc-ees does a great job marketing with their billboards, novelty, and you can't help but marvel at the sheer size of their gas stations. While this is an unlikely flagship sponsor because they really don't need to change their marketing strategy, it would still be cool to see that damn beaver on the hood of a car. Coors Light (or any other beer brand that isn't Anheuser-Busch) Coors Light has been a sponsor that has jumped in and out of relationships with NASCAR. At one point, they were the Official Beer of NASCAR. While Coors and NASCAR may have a shaky relationship, Coors and Stewart-Haas could do something special together. Think about this rivalry. Stewart-Haas vs. Trackhouse. Ford vs. Chevy. Old School vs. New School. Molson Coors vs. Anheuser-Busch. It's almost too perfect. Think about how awesome it would be for Coors to sponsor the #4 car next year after Busch has taken that ad space for the last several years. I choose Coors specifically because how awesome would it be to bring back the silver bullet? That car was iconic and is in my Top-5 All-Time paint schemes. I think many fans would agree it's time to bring the classic scheme.
