Tater Tot Casserole

If you want an easy meal to make that is inexpensive and will feed your family try out this recipe! It's some good homecooking and for us is our comfort food! It goes best with some ketchup added on top and green beans as a side! Let me know if you try it and like it or if there's any specific recipes you might want me to write up and post!
Ingredients:

  • 1lb of ground beef
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 2lb pkg of tater tots
  • 6 ounces of shredded cheese
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder or 1 small onion, chopped finely

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat and season with garlic powder and onion powder (if you are using an onion instead add that in with your meat while it cooks). Drain the meat and add one can of cream of mushroom soup stirring until combined. Once it is combined pour the meat mixture into a 9 x 13 pan and spread evenly. Add tater tots on the top and put the pan into the oven for 25 minutes. Add cheese on top and bake for another 5 minutes. Let rest for 2 minutes and then enjoy!

Author’s note: This is how we like to make our tater tot casserole but there are a million different ways to do it! We prefer seasoning with onion powder over putting an onion in it! With the seasonings measure with your heart and don’t stop until your ancestors tell you to! We have used many different kinds of cheese on top and they are all good, but our favorite is a mixture of different cheeses! This dish takes about 5-10 minutes to make besides baking time and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do! P.S. if you want to get fancy with it put some ketchup on top of it before you eat it, it’s pretty dang good!
