![]() This article is for facetious purposes only. If you get offended easily please do not continue reading as I do not care about offending people and WILL call you a crybaby. If that sentence offended you well you are a crybaby. If you do not follow these instructions and continue reading neither Dawson nor I will be fielding text messages or phone calls about how you are offended. You were warned off in the second sentence. Dawson told me to write an article criticizing his article so why not here it is. I believe that his writing is extremely impersonal. That’s my opinion. The other day he asked me for my opinion regarding his website and I stated that he should throw in a funny statement here or there, or even just stop making everything about the facts and start writing more opinionated things. The reason for this is that there are a million articles about sports out there that are writing about the same topics and they have all the facts. So make it funny or more opinionated in order to draw people in. He disagreed with my opinion at first (which is fine) but decided why not do it…what can it hurt?
Fast-forward to last night, he showed me an article he had written and I told him in my opinion it’s extremely boring. MY OPINION. Sorry I had to get aggressive with that because some of y’all will be like “well that’s just rude” well Karen I am going to give it to him straight…he asked for my opinion so I gave it to him. I am definitely not one of those that will play along if you try something on in the clothing store and say “does this make me look fat” I will either say yes or no. But you know what if you don’t like that don’t ask me for my opinion. *insert me shrugging my shoulders* ANYWAYS…he got a little upset and asked me to elaborate on what I was meaning when I said add sarcasm or comedy, or stop being factual. So I showed him how to integrate some sarcasm or comedy in with the serious stuff. Then he got all up in arms and said well how would I have any credibility if I don’t fact-check myself? This is when I turned to him and said put “In my opinion” in front of a statement and you don’t have to fact-check yourself. Bada-bing Bada-boom thank you for coming to my off-brand Ted Talk… For legal purposes I do not verbally abuse my husband I give him constructive criticism…
