I have never had a more glorious moment being a sports fan. The Chicago Bears have never won a Super Bowl in my lifetime. The Oklahoma City Thunder have never won an NBA Finals. I'm not a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, so when they won the World Series, it was great, and I was excited, but those World Series games are the only few MLB games I have watched all the way through. The Tar-Heels win the March Madness at least once a decade, so it's the expectation. So Ricky Stenhouse Jr. winning the Daytona 500 is by far the best moment in sports for me!
Well, it looks like I will be staying off social media for a few weeks now since Brittany Mahomes' husband and Jackson Mahomes' brother just won his second Super Bowl. I'm not mentally prepared to be amongst the millions victimized by their obnoxious content expected to come out over the next few days. Lord, I badly wanted the Eagles to win this one for that purpose.
This article was requested by one of my viewers, who is still deciding who they should pull for in the Super Bowl tonight. If you're like 95% of Americans, you don't have a dog in the fight, but you're still going to watch the game because it is the Super Bowl, and who doesn't watch the Super Bowl? That'd just be un-American.
The UNC vs. Duke game is always entertaining to follow afterward because it brings out the most extreme opinions of Carolina Fans, and watching fans go at it is like watching the blue-haired, feminist, most liberal student, and the camo Carhartt, boots, most conservative student in the class argue about today's politics. I would argue that UNC fans are far more passionate than members of our House of Representatives.
It's that time of year when football season is winding down, and my attention switches back to basketball. The Carolina/Duke game was the first basketball game I have watched all the way through this season. Needless to say, I was severely disappointed.
