Brandon Miller = BUST

​The Summer League is in full swing, and fans are finally getting a first look at players their team drafted just a few weeks ago. For Hornets fans, one thing is apparent. Brandon Miller is the biggest bust and waste of a #2 pick the league has ever seen. Drafting Miller may be the worst draft pick in the history of the Charlotte Hornets organization

Now that I've got your attention, odds are you disagree with the statement in the previous paragraph. I'm glad because I agree with you. People that think Brandon Miller is already a bust after a few Summer League Games and Hornets fans that are outraged need to take a chill pill. 

Miller has had his fair share of bad moments and has even had a bad game or two depending on how you look at it. But to call him a bust so soon is a bit extreme. We need to see where he lands on the depth chart and what he does in that position before we conclude that he is a bust. 

Through the first five games this summer, almost every player on the Hornets looks like that one kid on an AAU team his daddy set up so his son could be the star of the team. Ball-hogging, taking stupid shots, and not looking for passes to develop a decent play. It's sloppy, showboating basketball because everyone on the team is so worried about themselves that they don't consider working together may benefit everyone. 

It has been repeated time and time around social media, but I'll reiterate the point. Once Miller is around a team that knows how to play team basketball, I'm confident he will flourish. He won't be the star of the team; the guy potentially making $52 million a year is our star, but he will develop into a good second or third option for the Hornets, depending on how Bridges plays moving forward. 

To be a Hornets fan, you have to be excited about Ball, Bridges, and Miller being our "Big Three." In the Hornets' history (since returning to Charlotte in 04), the organization hasn't really had a big three unless you consider Kemba, Batum, and Jefferson a Big Three (Please note, that was a joke). 

At some point in Miller's career, I predict he will make the Second Team All-NBA. That's more of the ceiling I think he has, but for shits and giggles, I'm going to say he will definatly make Second Team All-NBA at some point. I hope I'm wrong in this prediction! I hope he's an absolute monster and develops into an All-Star level player that helps lead the Hornets to, at least, a deep playoff run (making it to the third round). 

As time marches on, we will all come out with our predictions and takes on Miller and the Hornets. It's fun to debate, but we will never truly know until later on!
