As the Ok Listen Here Dynasty Fantasy Football (PPR) offseason activities begin to start back up, I figured it would be good to look at my team, identify weaknesses, and determine the assets I need to target this offseason. My current lineup is as follows: QB: Josh Allen Justin Fields RB: Ezekiel Elliott Alvin Kamara Michael Carter Najee Harris David Montgomery Cordarrelle Patterson WR: Jaylen Waddle Jerry Jeudy Dionte Johnson Adam Thielen Jamar Chase DJ Moore TE: Hunter Henry Noah Fant DEF: N/A Issue #1: Backup Quarterback Josh Allen will undoubtedly be a long-time starter for the Memphis Aussies. Last season, Allen was the #1 Quarterback and #1 fantasy player in the league in just his fourth season. However, for Justin Fields, his future is undetermined. Under Matt Nagy, Justin Fields only posted two games with 20+ points, and when Allen was on a bye, he only put up 1.16 points, a season-low for Fields. I'm hoping under Coach Euberflus, Fields finds his groove and becomes a reliable backup. I see no sense in wasting my third-round draft pick on a quarterback in this year's draft class. I do have the option to pick up a quarterback currently in free agency. I like younger players that I can hold onto for a significant amount of time, and the player that sticks out to me is Baker Mayfield. Though his status in the league is up in the air, one thing is for sure: if he is playing, he's going to produce consistent numbers. In my head, I'd like to hold onto Fields and determine if I need to drop him and pick up another quarterback or not when Allen is on bye. Chicago has a new coach, and it may take a few years for things to get going, but is it worth waiting? Other Notable FA Quarterbacks: Ryan Tannehill | Carson Wents Issue #2: We need better TEs The tight-end position is one I'd like to improve through the draft. This is easily my weakest position group with Hunter Henry and Noah Fant. Fant is young and will have Russell Wilson throwing to him this year. Hunter Henry is getting up in age (comparatively) but is entering his second year with a New England team slowly coming together under Mac Jones. Hopefully, there is an improvement this season, as they landed outside the Top-10 in average fantasy points per game last season, and the available TEs fall below the two. So, looking for a free agent isn't an option unless someone blows up in the middle of the season. Luckily, there's depth at every other position that compensates for this. I'm targeting Trey McBride in the Rookie Draft this year, but should another team need a TE, he's likely gone. If he goes, I may attempt to trade for a better tight end even if it means I give up a young asset. What do you think I should do on this front? Issue #3: Ageing RBs Alvin Kamara and Ezekiel Elliott are elite backs, and I don't see that changing this year. But they're not getting any younger, and there is value in young talent in a Dynasty league. David Montgomery, Najee Harris, and Michael Carter make up a solid young RB core that can take over once 'zeke and Kamara begin regressing. Najee is already there and Montgomery may become significantly more valuable under Euberflus. I don't see myself drafting a running back in the third round this year or moving up to get one, but I'm open to all options. Rookie Draft Picks
