Well, another race when the rain forces NASCAR to push the race to a Monday at noon. As much as it sucks, I understand it. Though I didn't get to watch the entire race, I have been active in what people say on social media, and a few things are evident.

This past weekend at Pocono Kyle Larson fans and Denny Hamlin haters are all up in arms because of Hamlin's aggressive driving style that ultimately led him to a race win. Fans are calling out Hamlin's unwillingness to take responsibility for his aggressive driving style, and Hamlin stands firm against the mob that stands before him.
At the end of this season, Kevin Harvick will retire from Stewart-Haas, and along with Harvick, Anheuser-Busch will depart from their relationship with the team and focus their efforts with Trackhouse. This leaves the board wide open for a new brand to come in and become the flagship sponsor for the 2x Championship team. Below are my three recommendations!
The Summer League is in full swing, and fans are finally getting a first look at players their team drafted just a few weeks ago. For Hornets fans, one thing is apparent. Brandon Miller is the biggest bust and waste of a #2 pick the league has ever seen. Drafting Miller may be the worst draft pick in the history of the Charlotte Hornets organization
Within the last week, the Charlotte Hornets extended Small Forward Miles Bridges for one year and $7.92 million. Bridges did not participate in the 2022-'23 NBA season due to a domestic assault incident, and his suspension continues through the first ten games of the 2023-'24 season.
The Chicago Street Race is one of those events that, as a NASCAR fan, I would be okay with if there was a race or two like this on the circuit. It's unique and not the type of racing I would go out of my way to watch, so it's nice to step away from NASCAR's typical oval racing. NASCAR cars are just not made for making tight turns like those 90-degree turns on this course, which is why many cars end up running into the wall on road courses (and now street races).
Finally! The day has come that Nic Batum and the Charlotte Hornets officially have no ties with one another! Batum has been a member of the Los Angeles Clippers for the last three seasons, but the Hornets have been paying the majority of his contract up until this last season.
It has been a while since Charlotte sports have been relevant. It has been since 2016 since the Carolina Panthers won a playoff game, and that same year was the last time the Charlotte Hornets made it to the NBA playoffs. There are no major universities in or around the city that consistently make national headlines, and the last time a superstar played for one of our pro teams was one Cam Newton was in his prime with the Panthers.
Last week, the former North Carolina forward and Cabarrus County native, Leaky Black, signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets.
Earlier this month, the world had its eyes opened to NASCAR at the 24-Hour Le Mans. Since the 24-Hour Le Mans, there has been a lot of conversation about NASCAR competing around the globe. As one might imagine, there is a percentage of the fan base that likes the idea, and there is a percentage of the fan base that does not like the idea.
We are officially in the off-season of the NBA. The NBA off-season is my favorite sports season, behind college football season. I have a degree in sport management, so naturally, I am interested in the business side of sports. There will be some years when I may only watch 5 to 10 NBA games in a season, but when it comes to the off-season, what player is going where, who is getting traded, and who is getting drafted, I am on top of it. I just enjoy that side of the sport.
n the last few weeks, it had been reported that EA Sports would be paying the majority of college football players around $500 for opting to have their name, image, and likeness in the college football video game coming out in 2024. The amount EA is willing to pay for an athlete’s NIL has upset several athletes eligible to be in the game, as they feel they deserve more than what is being offered. The question here is should EA pay eligible athletes more than $500?
As we get closer to the NBA draft, the rumor that the Charlotte Hornets will trade the number two pick in this year’s NBA draft for Zion Williamson continues to heat up.
Michael Jordan has finally sold the Charlotte Hornets! It has been a long time coming, and I am so excited that some change is finally happening within the organization.
This week's driver profile comes to you via audience request! Our driver does not currently compete full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, but if he isn't already on your radar, you should stick him on there. This week, we introduce you to Zane Smith—the driver for the #38 Front Row Motorsports Ford in the Craftsman Truck Series and defending champion.
Today, June 14, 2023, the North Carolina Governor, Roy Cooper, signed a bill to legalize sports betting in North Carolina starting as early as January 2024. The bill was passed with 69 votes for the bill and 44 votes against. Legislators from both the Republican and Democrat party voted for and against the bill.
Ricky Stenhouse. The first NASCAR driver that I truly became a fan of. Stenhouse is unique in that he is one of the few drivers competing for a single-driver race team, JTG Daugherty Racing out of Harrisburg, North Carolina. Stenhouse was born in Olive Branch, Mississippi, just southeast of Memphis, Tennessee.
Before the beginning of the 2022 NASCAR season, I became a fan of Ricky Stenhouse Jr because I did just a little bit of digging online and found out that the team he drove for, JTG Daugherty Racing, was headquartered out of my hometown of Harrisburg, North Carolina. Since then, I have become an absolute die-hard of Ricky Stenhouse and the JTG Daugherty Racing Team, which has driven me to watch every single race while listening to the team scanner and watching the onboard cameras
The Coca-Cola 600 is an event that I look forward to every year. Memorial Day weekend is always circled on my calendar, and this year was no different. For most of my childhood, I grew up two miles behind turn two of Charlotte Motor Speedway, so becoming a NASCAR fan was inevitable. Growing up, my siblings and I would always get excited to watch the fireworks after a race since we could see them from our house. The roar of the engines going around the mile-and-a-half track would keep us up during the 600, and when there wasn't a race, you could always hear somebody practicing. We lived in America's Home for Racing.
This year's NACAR All-Star Race was the most anticipated All-Star Race since I've been alive. There are a few reasons for this. First, the event was brought back to North Carolina after spending some time in Tennessee and Texas due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Second, the beloved North Wilkesboro Speedway was revived after nearly three decades in ruins for this event. Lastly, but most importantly, my favorite driver, Ricky Stenhouse, had locked in his position in the race since he won the Daytona 500 earlier this season.
We are finally at the All-Star break, so we figured now would be a good time to rank all the paint schemes from this year from our favorite driver, Ricky Stenhouse! Originally, I was going to rank each of the paint schemes, but I figured my wife would have a more interesting ranking since she is the more aesthetic one in our marriage.
Dover is one of my favorite tracks to watch a race on. I'd argue it's one of the most intense races in the circuit. It's definitely the most intense race on a short track. Unfortunately, NASCAR was forced to postpone the race, but what infuriates me is that they decided to race at noon on a Monday, which stripped me of being able to watch one of my favorite races since I have a day job outside of Ok Listen Here.
I am super excited to be writing this article because now two of my former teammates were picked up in this year's NFL draft! This article aims to inform Dallas Cowboys fans about their 244th pick, Jalen Brooks!
This article aims to inform Arizona Cardinal fans of their 72nd draft pick, Garrett Williams. I played ball with Williams in high school and have followed his career since. I'll start by saying the Cardinals are getting a man of great character. I know Garrett to be one of the most hardworking and coachable individuals I have ever met, and obviously, those two qualities landed him a spot in the NFL.
